Last Friday night the strata industry came together for the first time in almost a year to celebrate CHU SCA SA’s Gala Dinner and Awards for Excellence.

The awards ceremony is held around the country each year and recognises industry excellence across numerous categories. Nominees go above and beyond in their roles to compete for widespread recognition. This year SCA SA had nine highly contested award categories.

Taking out the coveted Medium Strata Business was our very own Adelaide Strata & Community Management (ASCM).

ASCM State Manager, Adrian Roach, accepted the award on behalf of the Company and was proud to acknowledge all the hard work from his colleagues over the challenging last 12 months.

“This award is a team award. Well done team! Thank you for all your efforts throughout the year.”

ASCM recognised the past 12 months had been a time of economic and pandemic challenges and how we think of strata has changed.

“The way we live, interact and communicate has forever changed. ASCM embraced this change and we’ll continue to evolve. We’ll devise and implement strategies that appeal to our clients as well as our staff.

“We’re more imaginative in the way we service our clients, and how we attract new ones,” said Adrian.

Relationships built on mutual respect are long lasting and ASCM has nearly 30 years’ experience servicing the South Australian strata market.

As Adrian admits, it’s more than longevity that appeals to clients. It’s a full team effort.

“It’s the personalised greeting they receive when they call. It’s the friendly coffee after a meeting, or just to catch up when we’re in the area. Our clients are an extension of us, we treat them just like our own.”

Smarter Communities CEO, Alex Lang, and General Manager Customer Service & People, Kerrie Miller, were in Adelaide to attend the momentous event with the ASCM team.

“Just to be out at an industry event is reason to celebrate. But sitting amongst the excitement of all the finalists, then hearing ASCM being announced winner and witnessing Adrian accept the winner’s plaque made the evening even more special.

“I’m so proud of the ASCM team and know they work extremely hard. This is truly a team award, as Adrian mentioned, and is testament to their relentless effort all year. Particularly through this difficult year,” said Alex.
